Flexitanie

Some engaged regions have chosen to support the development of intelligent recharging. Dreev has been selected to support these innovative programmes. A large number of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) charging points have been deployed as part of the Flexitanie demonstrator. The programme has now been extended to control charging station according to photovoltaic production.

The Flexitanie programme

Flexitanie is a smart charging deployment programme launched in 2020 by the Occitanie region. It aims to facilitate the adoption of new charging technologies by businesses and local authorities.

The first part of this programme involves the deployment of Vehicle-to-Grid charging points. Several dozen charging points have been installed at a number of businesses and local authorities, including the Montpellier metropolitan area and the town of Villeneuve-Lès-Avignon. The Occitanie region is now the most advanced in France in the deployment of smart charging. This programme has demonstrated the benefits of V2G technology and the possibility of implementing it on a large scale without impacting on the operational needs of fleets.

Solar recharging

The Flexitanie programme is also funding the installation of smart charging stations that are controlled according to local photovoltaic production. This deployment is in line with the region’s objectives for the development of solar-generated electricity.

Nearly 50 recharging stations have been installed at the Sanofi Aramon site, with a control system based on local photovoltaic production. Recharging is concentrated during the hours when solar-generated electricity is at its highest.
